Did you know that attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects between 3-5 percent of the U.S. adult population? With symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior, ADHD can make everyday life a challenge. If you’re struggling to stay focused and are feeling overwhelmed by your responsibilities, we urge you to visit our urgent care/primary care clinic.
At Innovative Express Care, located in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, we have a proven, effective system to treat and monitor your attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. While prescriptions such as the schedule II stimulant Adderallrequire monthly visits, we do our best to keep your treatment plan simple, convenient and affordable. This includes telemedicinevisits instead of coming in.
**Our clinic is located in Chicago, IL. We can only do a screening if you are an Illinois resident. Our clinical therapists are only licensed in the state of Illinois.
**For ADHD evaluation in other states please contact local providers in your area.
What Makes Innovative Express Care Different When It Comes to ADHD
We must ensure that you have been formally diagnosed with ADHD (If you do not have diagnosis, we will refer you to one of our therapists for an ADHD screening).
If you have been previously diagnosed, we need your medical records (a copy of a recent physician visit), or we may be able to look at your prescription history, once we confirm diagnosis of ADHD, we will see you in person to begin treatment with Innovative by booking an appointment with one of our primary care providers byclicking here.
If you do not have the diagnosis or any evidence that you’ve been diagnosed, click below to book your appointment with Dave Evans, Joy Guzzarde, Jenna Quinn, or Erika Ostrander, our ADHD specialists. This is done via telemedicine for a 1-time visit ($175) – See availability and book your appointment online below.
After we have confirmed diagnosis, we will conduct an initial medical assessment that may consists of blood work, EKG, ADHD survey, and assessment for the use of stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse, etc.) per our provider’s medical expertise
We will be honest with the side effects, long-term addictiveness of Adderall and other ADHD stimulants.
Each follow up appointment includes vital signs, weight, physical exam, and discussion on how treatment is going on at the clinic or via telemedicine.
We allow flexibility to our patient to maintain continuity of care by providing remote access to appointments: Initial in person doctor’s appointment once a month for 1-2 months, followed by monthly telemedicine consultations for up to 6 months, and then a return to the clinic for in person appointment.
If the provider deems it necessary, patients may be referred to see a psychiatrist to continue the treatment plan (these are for complex cases)
Our total honesty about the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of the patient’s ADHD
Our primary care teamwork alongside our therapists to provide coordinated care for our patients
How To Make An Appointment
Our doctors and providers are here to change the way healthcare is delivered. We want you to have the best experience at our clinic. We can also be your primary care physician and help you with all your other health and psychologic needs. Of note, we only see adult ADD/ADHD patients.
To get screened for ADHD, we require you to do one telemedicine visit with our therapist. The cost of this is $175 and will take about an hour. We do not take insurance for the screening. After diagnosed, we do take insurance.
